TV2009New-Years-Party.jpgNew Year's Eve is a time for celebration, reflection, and of course, new (or renewed) determination to make this coming year even better than the one before.

In other words, it's almost RESOLUTION time!

We here at BuddyTV are always striving to bring you even closer to the TV characters you know and love so well, so we personally spoke* with 20 of your favorites and found out: what do they resolve to do differently in 2010?

We also made some resolutions of our own, and hope you'll share yours with us.

Have a safe, healthy, happy, and TV-filled new year, from your buddies at BuddyTV.

Ok, Im 16 and I was planning to audition for american idol next monday. The rule is, that if your under 18, your parent HAS to go to the audition(which i dont understand because the auditions are during the week and thats when people have to work), and now, out of the blue for no reason, my mom is saying she doesnt want to take me, and she wont give me a reason why, any help ?

Buckle in for your last season of American Idol with Simon Cowell. According to his brother the King of Cruel will follow Abdul’s footsteps and leave the Idol Judges’ panel after American Idol 2010 but, unlike Paula, Simon has a new job lined up:

“A press statement is being prepared which will confirm what everybody expected: Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of The X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011,”

Per Simon’s latest contract he’ll finally be able to bring “The X Factor” to the States and presumably he’ll be taking the lead with the judging role there as well.

Should American Idol continue on without its captain now that only Randy “Dawg” Jackson will be the only original judge for the 2011 season? Would you watch a show judged by Randy, Kara, and Ellen DeGeneres?

20091223-cowell.jpg"They all start somewhere," so say the new American Idol ads making the rounds (and, in my case, giving me the chills) lately. One thing that it doesn't mention: it ends somewhere, too. Somehow. Soon.

I don't mean to sound too gloopy, but I was thinking of just that after hearing someone else say that Simon Cowell is planning to leave Idol after this season. Sure, the rumor's been making the rounds especially since his contract was still up for renewal at the time. We've long forgotten that when all indicators pointed at Simon returning, with a much bigger paycheck than before. But, if the shirt-toting Brit's brother is to be believed, this year would be the last we'll see of him.
