In the tradition of such modern themes such as Elvis Presley week and Lennon/McCartney week, the
American Idol Top 5 will take on the songs of Frank Sinatra next week. Some way of making contemporary artists out of these guys, right?
No, I'm not belittling next week's theme. In fact, I'm of the belief that today's songs will not stand the test of time as much as these classics have. It's no surprise why many of Old Blue Eye's songs are still being covered by artists today, including next week's mentor, Harry Connick, Jr. Also, many of his hits remain part of popular culture, a testament to his successful six-decade career, and his distinction as being one of pop music's first superstars.
Kris has a beautiful wife and he proudly shown it to people on AI. But for how long? I hope his new career will further enhance their marriage and not destroy it.

We’re about to find out who will be eliminated from the Top 6 tonight on American Idol 2010 and who will move on to the season’s Top 5. There’s no chance for redemption this week after the Judges’ Save was previously used so someone will definitely go home and we’ll be one step closer to the season finale.
Based on your votes in our Top 6 performance poll I’m seeing the trailing contenders for tonight’s American Idol elimination as Michael, Aaron, and Siobhan. Siobhan makes up our own Bottom 3, but she’s far enough ahead that she should be okay. I’m expecting either Michael or Aaron to hit the road.
