   Daivd Cook won by 12 million votes and I think the voters got it right this time. David Archuleta is good but I think David Cook is a much better performer.
   According to the Associated Press: With a record 97.5 million audience votes cast by phone and text, the split between the two contestants was 56 percent for one David and 44 percent for the other.

    it doesnt even matter who won, i heard they both had record companies who were willing to sign them! but i like David Cook better.

    He is a better choice than David Archuleta. Archuleta was too "safe," if that makes sense. He would have failed miserably once he got shoved out into the mainstream, radio world because there was absolutely nothing that made him stand out. A good voice is fine, and he’s cute. He had absolutely no charisma whatsoever.

    David Cook!!!! I knew he would win! I just about cried when he was crying!!! I am so happy that he won! I predicted right! David Cook is so hot!!! WOOO!!!! I’ll be the first to buy his album

    well.. as said cook won by 12 million votes.
    i was rooting for him. and he brought it to the plate.=]
    im happy with the new idol.

    Archiletta was good.. and i am honestly surprised he didnt win.
    i figured he would have all the tennyboppers votes.
    hmm. guess not.

    i was stoked when i found out that cook won. he totally deserved it and has wayyy better stage presence.=]

    I like them both, however, David Cook is somewhat cocky. Did you see the way he was clapping for Archuletta when his name was called as the winner. It really did not appear to be sincere to me. He is a great performer, but he needs to eat some humble pie for breakfast lunch and dinner.

    I haven’t seen the results yet because of the time diference i live In Los angeles Ca. If David cook won i could live with that. I like DC he’s got what it takes to succeed and to me is a true american Idol.
