Can you believe Melinda Doolittle got voted off American Idol?

   I was delightfully surprised. I don’t like Melinda, and never have – I TiVo AI and I have fast forwarded through Melinda from the beginning. I don’t like listening to her sing (the actual voice), she’s boring, watching her is annoying, and her surprised look makes me want to throw something. I can usually appreciate that someone has a great voice even if I don’t like them, but I don’t understand this one at all.

   I voted for Melinda three times and Blake twice.
   I am angry and cannot believe America cannot see someone who has a talent like Melinda. I am not going to watch the final next week because I do not care who wins now. Melinda was the best from day one. Tonight is the last time I will ever watch American Idol again. This season has not been a far season. Some of the best singers were voted off in the beginning. If I had to choose I would hope Blake would win, but it will be Jordin.

   I just asked that same question earlier and I couldn’t believe it either. This show might as well be called "Teenie Bopper Idol".

   yeah i can. yes she has GREAT voice but she doesnt have "the look" like jordin has. i was sad she left. even though i want blake to win.

    i am glad Jordan got in but sad for Melinda i dont want Blake to win. but its ok Melinda and Jordan will both do great

    Im still in shock and the shows been over for more than a half hour. I’m voting for Jordin..I pray she wins. With my stupid luck it will be that son of a snitch Blake…I pray he doesn’t win!

    I cant believe it either. She really did the best out of all of them. I hate blake non beat boxing a** and Jordin is a fat hoe non of them will do as better than Melinda.

    I had a feeling she was gonna go…oh well…lets see who’s going to take it. Blake cant really sing and Jordin’s voice sounds a little immature when she tries to sing a low note. They’ve voted off Lakisha, so no one is safe in AI business.

    Dolittle has been the best SINGER since the start.
    But face it, This show has become nothing more than a teen popularity contest.

    I can’t believe it.
    American idol should be called Redneck Idol instead
    The voting rule should be allow one to vote 10 times max
    so that everyone will have a chance to do that.Sometimes you are trying to vote and those crazy kids are keeping the line busy just to stop you from voting for your fave.

    I can believe Melinda was voted off. She has talent, she can sing any song from any genre of music. People criticize her for being "over the top" and pretending like she’s on broadway but when you can sing, you don’t be timid; you open your mouth and let it all hang out!!

    America is all about commercialization and image, not talent. Just look at the performers out there: Keyshia Cole, Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson(and her sister), Ciara, Toni Braxton, Faith Evans, 112, Robin Thicke, the last how many winners from American Idol, etc. That mess called Danity Kane, the best singers were cut because they couldn’t dance well. Hell when you can sing, you don’t need to overcompensate with dancing. Your voice will tell it all. None of these people can carry a tune even with help from the studio, all they can do is jump around and dance. America wouldn’t know a true signing idol if that person punched them in the head, look how long Sanjaya hung around.

    Back in the day Aretha, Gladys, Bette, Dionne, Barbara, Al, Marvin, Teddy, Luther and Barry didn’t need jump around dancing to put on a show. Their voices were the show, as Melinda’s voice is her show. That’s just the way it is.

    No it is amazing to me……I always thought this was truly the Melinda Doolittle show….. shows how much I know. I didn’t want her to win===I’ve always loved Jordin
    Sparks for her style and magnetism which Melinda does not have…..Jordin is going to be huge….
