Do you think Kara DioGuardi was planned to be Paula Abdul’s replacement before she came on Idol?
I find it odd that they decide to intro a new host in season 8 and then Paula leaves in season 9.

I really don’t think it was planned for her to become Paula’s replacement on the show as they wanted a fourth judge i guess to spice things up since paula was the only female judge.I am not quite sure though but i don’t like her at all and it is still up in the air whether paula will remain on the show as for the whole contract thing is still up in the air.
But it does make sense as we knew that Paula’s contract was up. But it did seem that way to me when she was put up for a fourth judge last year.
I hope not!
I mean nothing against Kara, but removing Paula would be removing a part of the family.
