I’ve seen many pop idols who are just annoying and don’t even sing well and yet they are getting rich by mere fact that they have an image. Recently with this American idol, though, i see more talent. The bad thing though is the american idol’s are made into same usual poppy type actors instead of individuals.

Kelly clarkson is the example. Instead of putting her in some forms of music where she can sing nicely like she did with the music she had in the show,,, they kind of make her sing pop of the kind they generally play in mtv. and then they dress her up and give her an image of a punk.

Other american idols luckly stay true to themselves and don’t go into the plastic kind of pop/rock: Ruben, and the counry singer girl.

I wonder how much these american idols have a say over their careers. Seems many of them are being shaped into some plastic/meaningless pop that we have often seen before.
